Final pricing, availability, and menu options are confirmed only after a written quote is issued by Fred Karam Catering and accepted by the client.
Event dates are not reserved until all required deposits are received.
Clients are responsible for informing us of any allergies, dietary restrictions, or special considerations at the time of booking. While we take food safety seriously, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
Fred Karam Catering is not liable for any issues arising from improper handling, storage, or service of food once it has been delivered or picked up, or from undisclosed allergies.

Refund Policy

We understand that plans can change. This Refund & Cancellation Policy is designed to balance flexibility for clients with the realities of food preparation, staffing, and event planning.
This policy applies to all catering orders and events booked with Fred Karam Catering.
1. Deposits
For most events, especially medium and large ones:

A deposit may be required to confirm the booking (amount to be specified in your quote).

Deposits are generally non-refundable, as they reserve the date and cover planning and early preparation costs.

Any exceptions will be clearly stated in writing in your quote or agreement.
2. Cancellation by Client
If you need to cancel your event:
More than 7 days before the event date:

Deposit is non-refundable (unless otherwise agreed in writing),
-
Any additional payments made may be refundable, less any non-recoverable costs (ingredients purchased, custom items, special orders, etc.).
Between 7 days and 48 hours before the event:

Deposit is non-refundable.

Up to 50% of the remaining balance may still be due, depending on preparation already done, staffing booked, and products purchased.
Less than 48 hours before the event:

Deposit is non-refundable.

Up to 100% of the quoted amount may be charged, especially if food has already been prepared or resources fully committed.
We will always try to be reasonable and transparent, but last-minute cancellations have a real cost in time, products, and lost opportunities.
3. Changes to Guest Count or Menu

Reductions in guest count must generally be communicated at least 72 hours before the event.

Increases are subject to availability and may affect pricing.

Significant changes close to the event date may not be possible and may still be billed based on the original agreement.
4. Cancellation by Fred Karam Catering
In the rare event that we must cancel due to unexpected circumstances (serious illness, emergencies, events beyond our control):

We will inform you as soon as possible.

Any deposit or prepayment received will be refunded in full, unless an alternative date or solution is mutually agreed upon.

Our liability will be limited to the amount you have paid to us for that event.
We will always do our best to avoid cancellations and may try to find alternative arrangements if feasible.
5. Force Majeure (Events Beyond Control)
Neither party is liable for cancellations or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, such as:

Extreme weather

Natural disasters

Major power outages
-
Government restrictions or emergencies
If such an event occurs:

We will work with you to reschedule where possible.

Refunds or credits may be offered case by case, depending on timing and costs already incurred.
6. Complaints & Quality Issues
If you are unhappy with any aspect of the catering:

Please contact us as soon as possible (ideally the same day or within 24 hours) so we can assess the situation.

We may ask for details and, if relevant, photos to understand the issue.

Where appropriate, we may offer:

Partial refund,
-
Credit towards a future order, or
-
Other reasonable solutions.

Because food is perishable and subject to handling conditions after delivery, refunds cannot be guaranteed in all circumstances, but we are committed to fairness and maintaining trust.
